The MARK-3® Legacy Continues — Introducing the Full MARK-3® Pump Lineup
Scroll DownFor decades, the MARK-3® portable high-pressure fire pump has been trusted by firefighters around the world for its unmatched power-to-weight ratio, durability, and field-proven performance.
Today, WATERAX is expanding the platform with new configurations designed for the evolving needs of modern fire and emergency response operations.
From advanced digital monitoring to extended runtime fuel systems and fully mechanical simplicity, the expanded MARK-3 family now offers solutions for a wide range of operational environments.
The result is a complete lineup engineered for modern wildfire operations and beyond.
One Platform. Four Configurations.
The MARK-3 family now includes four configurations designed to match different operational preferences and mission requirements.
The MARK-3 Watson Edition brings advanced monitoring capabilities to the fireline.
With Bluetooth connectivity and integration with the MyWATERAX Pump Dashboard, crews can monitor pump performance in real time, providing valuable operational insight during deployments.
This connected platform allows firefighters to track engine performance, runtime, and operating conditions directly from their mobile device.
MARK-3® Watson Edition with Integrated Fuel Tank
The newest addition to the lineup introduces a built-in 1 US gallon (3.8 L) fuel tank, providing extended runtime directly on the pump.
• ~45 minutes runtime at 100% throttle
• ~65 minutes runtime at 75% throttle
When operations extend beyond the initial attack, a three-way fuel valve allows seamless connection to an external fuel source, enabling continuous operation in the field.
The result is greater operational endurance with fewer interruptions.
For crews that prioritize durability and simplicity, the MARK-3 Essential delivers the trusted performance of the MARK-3 platform in its most rugged and straightforward form.
Just field-proven reliability designed to perform in demanding wildfire and industrial environments. Just high-pressure performance engineered to run at full throttle when it counts.
MARK-3® Essential with Integrated Fuel Tank
Combining the simplicity of the Essential platform with extended runtime capability, this configuration features an integrated fuel tank that allows crews to operate longer without refueling interruptions. It is ideal for rapid deployment scenarios where minimizing refueling interruptions is critical.
This makes it an excellent option for remote operations where mobility and endurance are critical.
Built for Wildfire — and Beyond
While the MARK-3 platform has become a global standard in wildland firefighting, its portability and high-pressure performance make it valuable across many other operational environments.
These pumps are used around the world in situations where traditional fire apparatus cannot reach or operate effectively.
Rural Fire Protection
In many regions — including India, Southeast Asia, and rural communities worldwide — narrow roads and limited infrastructure make it difficult for large fire trucks to access incident scenes.
Portable high-pressure pumps like the MARK-3 allow responders to quickly deploy water from rivers, ponds, irrigation canals, or storage tanks to protect homes, farms, and small villages.
Auxiliary Fire Pumps on Fire Apparatus
Many fire departments use portable pumps as auxiliary equipment carried on trucks.
The MARK-3 can be rapidly deployed to:
• Extend hose lays beyond apparatus reach
• Boost pressure in long hose lines
• Supply water from static sources
• Support operations where hydrants are unavailable
Forestry & Land Management
Forestry agencies rely on portable pumps to support prescribed burns, forest protection operations, and remote water transfer in difficult terrain.
The pump’s high pressure allows water to be moved long distances through hose lays across mountainous or forested environments.
Disaster Response & Emergency Water Movement
Portable pumps are critical tools during natural disasters and emergency response operations.
They are frequently used to:
• Move water in areas where infrastructure is damaged
• Supply temporary water systems
• Support flood mitigation or emergency pumping operations
Remote Industrial & Infrastructure Operations
Industries operating in remote environments — including mining, forestry, utilities, and construction — often require portable high-pressure pumps for water transfer and emergency response.
The compact design and rugged reliability of the MARK-3 platform make it well suited for these environments.
Proven Performance Where It Matters Most
Across all configurations, the MARK-3 platform maintains the high-pressure performance that firefighters have relied on for decades.
• Maximum pressure: 380 PSI (26.2 bar)
• Free flow: 100 US GPM (379 L/min)
• Maximum head: 877 ft (267 m)
This capability allows the pump to support long hose lays, relay pumping operations, and high-elevation firefighting.
Modern Wildfire Engineering
Wildfire environments are becoming more complex and demanding.
At WATERAX, innovation means designing equipment that helps firefighters deploy faster, operate longer, and move water further in the most challenging conditions.
With the introduction of the expanded MARK-3 lineup, the legacy of one of the most trusted wildfire pumps in the world continues — now with more options to support the next generation of fire and emergency response operations.
