 A Week on the Fireline in Hanover

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth, joined a demo, or took on the push-up challenge at INTERSCHUTZ 2026. The conversations we had with firefighters, agencies, OEMs, and partners from around the world reinforced what drives everything we do: real-world wildfire response, built by people who've been on the line.

 Here's a look back at our week.

Live on the Fireline: The First-Ever Wildfire Camp

INTERSCHUTZ launched its first Wildfire Camp this year, and we ran live demonstrations every single day. Not staged. Not behind glass. Pumps running, water moving, the way they'd work on a real deployment.

 The lineup at the Camp:

From a Smokejumper Who's Lived It

One of the moments we'll remember most: our own Anthony Trojko, former smokejumper in British Columbia and now WATERAX Account Manager, took the stage to share what it's really like to jump into the fireline, and the path that got him there.

It's the kind of perspective you can't manufacture. The room was full. The questions kept coming. And it's exactly why we build the way we do, for the people doing the work.

The MARK-3® Push-Up Challenge

This one took on a life of its own. Over 50 people — firefighters, dealers, OEM partners, and a few brave first-timers — stepped up to put a MARK-3® on their back and crank out 10 push-ups.

The rules were simple:

  • Put a MARK-3® on your back
  • Do 10 push-ups
  • Win a WATERAX t-shirt and hat

 There's something fitting about a pump that's been on firefighters' backs for generations becoming the centerpiece of a challenge that brought the whole Camp together. Thanks to everyone who gave it a go.

OEM Showcase with TECHNAMM

We were proud to see our OEM partner TECHNAMM showcase the BB-4-25H with Digital Control Panel, integrated into the new Baroudier 3.5T. 

A working example of how WATERAX pumps integrate into purpose-built wildfire vehicles, and a glimpse of where modern, mobile wildfire response is headed.
