Job Description

The Regional Sales Manager (RSM), reporting directly to the Director of Sales & Marketing is someone with a lot of sales expertise and will be responsible for growing sales for WATERAX core products and developing our key channel partner network in a specific geographical market region.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Articulate and leverage the organization’s unique abilities to deliver value to the market;
  • Responsible for developing, retaining and increasing sales and gross margins with key channel;
  • Ability to identify and qualify business development opportunities grow through dealer channel and company resources to maximize sales revenues and meet corporate objectives;
  • Manages existing sales channels and aggressively recruits new ones in key regions with less coverage;
  • Diligently forecasts annual, quarterly and monthly sales goals and keeping tabs on the needs of the market;
  • Develops specific plans to ensure revenue growth;
  • Routine key account management review to ensure sales objectives/target and provide quarterly results assessments of our channel partners;
  • Delivering reports on sales goals, targets, and additional sales insights;
  • Participate in regional forestry events, conferences and tradeshows;
  • Establishes personal contact and rapport with top echelon decision-makers for each key account and develop positive business relationships;
  • Relaying customer insights and sales data to product team and operations to support product development;
  • Plays an active role with the Product Development and Marketing team by providing them with valuable customer feedback on product features, requirements including competitive intelligence;

Education & Experience

  • University degree in marketing or business studies is preferred;
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of related experience in sales management or the equivalent combination of formal education and experience;
  • Experience in developing marketing and sales strategies;
  • Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time;
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft office suite is required (PPT, Excel, Visio);
  • A valid driver’s license;
  • Understanding of WATERAX products, services and capabilities. Must demonstrate ability to understand our products and mechanical concepts and to successfully communicate them to customers and sales channel partners;
  • Knowledge of the Fire industry and experience in wildland firefighting is an asset;
