Job Description

With your experience in wildland firefighting, join WATERAX and help us deliver the new MARK-3® Watson Edition across the USA. We’ll need your specific expertise to guide our channel partners (dealers) in basic pump operations, offer manufacturer’s recommendations, troubleshooting techniques and product training. This position is responsible for working with our channel partners and government agencies to effectively promote the features and benefits of the new MARK-3® Watson Edition pump with the goal of getting customers to switch to this next-generation version. Reporting to the Director of Marketing / USA Sales Divison, the Product Specialist will be working closely with the sales and marketing team, to perform technical presentations for the product (demos).

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for personalized deliveries and training for the MARK-3® Watson Edition pump to channel partners (dealers) across the USA;
  • Support the WATERAX sales team in deploying the MARK-3® Watson Edition pump to customers across the USA;
  • Demonstrate what makes WATERAX pumps superior by leveraging your experience and point of view as a wildland firefighter;
  • Represent WATERAX as a field expert and brand ambassador;
  • Provide basic pump operations training to channel partners, troubleshooting techniques, manufacturer’s safety recommendations;
  • Promote the MARK-3® Watson Edition by performing product demonstrations;
  • Event Support: Attend / exhibit at trade shows. Provide product and market expertise for events such as conferences, tradeshows, and seminars;
  • Debrief management and prepare summary report after each customer visit;
  • Capture marcom collateral such us testimonials, pictures, videos and generate content for social media platforms;
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management;
  • Adhere to all WATERAX policies and procedures pursuant to sales administration processes and guidelines;
  • Adhere to WATERAX guidelines and policies in matters of ethics and code of conduct;

Education & Experience

  • Understanding of WATERAX products, services and capabilities. Must demonstrate ability to understand our products and mechanical concepts and to successfully communicate them to customers and sales channel partners;
  • Work experience in, and technical knowledge of, WATERAX products, applications and targeted industries;Work experience in, and technical knowledge of, WATERAX products, applications and targeted industries;
  • Experience in wildland firefighting is an asset;
  • Proficient in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
  • College/Cegep Degree or equivalent, Business Administration preferred;
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of related experience;
  • Valid driver’s license and high ability & willingness to travel;
